What is Dental implants?

Dental implants are replacement tooth roots. They are manufactured from biologically neutral pure Titanium that is accepted by the human body and these implants fuse with the jawbone to form a secure foundation for tooth replacement or denture stabilization.The shape of implants are only slightly differ between manufactures,but microscopic surface preparation and sterilisation during production are of omnious importance for success.

Dental Implants are surgically inserted into the jawbone and over time the jawbone will attach itself to the implant. Once this occurs small posts called implant abutments may be fastened to the implant and reconstructive crowns,bridges or dentures can then be attached permanently into the place.The patient will have a dramatic increase in stability as well as reduced irritation, better taste and reducing in oral sores generally associated with Dentures. Biting pressure will also be restored, enabling patients to consume foods they would have.

There are different implants shapes and sizes.Their choice depends on patient’s bone quantity and quality.
